TEMUKA TOWN BOARD.

The question of top-dressing with ' asphalt, which was mentioned by Mr ' Comer, was briefly discussed, but it was agreed to defer action until later. ' The chairman referred to the suggestion that the Temuka and Arowhenna < Town Boards should be armlgannted to form a borough, and expressed approval of the idea Mr Corner also supported the suggestion. Mr Findlay was not assured that the amalgamation would find favour with or be m the best interests of the bulk of the ratepayers. It was agreed to arrange a conference between the two Boards on ' Wednesday, February 22nd. Tuesday, February 7th, was fixed as the date upon ( which the amended by-laws will be con- ! sidered. Accounts amounting to £69 Os ' lOd were passed for payment, and the ! meeting terminated. '
