The Timaru t Port Guards fired on Wednesday for the first competition of Mrs C. R. Thomas' prize, and a second presented by Sergeant-Major Bradley. The annual match between the Timaru Port Guards and Waimate Rifles wae fired on the Timaru range on Thursday, and resulted m an easy win for the Porl Guards by 73 points. A strong eaaterlj
wind was blowing making good shooting difficult. The conditions of the match were 10 shots at 300 yds, 500 yds, and 600 yds, Bisley targets and scoring.
