— , —^_ e (By Telegraph.) ° AUCKLAND, September 10. At the Supreme Court, Michael Kelly and Thomas William Davis were charged with robbery from the person of a young 'i* woman. Davis was acquitted, but Kelly >r was convicted and sentenced to four U years' imprisonment with hard labour. His Honour said that the case which ; " had been heard that day was a bad )- one— assisting in robbing ayoung woman s inaruffianly manner— but he (the Judge) jj looked upon it as light compared with the case fn which prisoner was convicted '* on Saturday of the brutal practice of v garrotting.
