The next Germpu mail packet leaves Melbourne 14th inst. Due at Berlin 28th October. The next French mai 1 packet leaves Melbourne 14th inst. Due at Marseilles on 13th October. Mails for New Hebrides close al Sydney on 16th inst. The next mail for the United Kingdom (via San Francisco), closes at Timaru on 30th inst. ; due m Lond6n 4th Nov. Mails for Fiji, per Upolu, will leave Auckland on 15th inst. Mails for Cromarty and Puysegui Point close at Invercargill on 11th inst. Mails for South Africa close at Melbourne, per Nineveh, about sth October, ' Mails for Raratonga and Tahiti will lose at Auckland on 30th inst. K. J. Goodman, Chief Postmaster.
