POSTAL NOTICE.
The Post Office, Timaru, and Post Offices m the district, will, on New Year's Day, observe a close holiday. On the 26th instant (Boxing Day) Post Offices will be opened m all branches from 9 to 10 a.m. only, and the usual despatch ol mails up to 10 a.m. will be made. Letter carriers will make one complete delivery commencing at 8 a.m. ! All receiving boxes will be cleared, and j contents disposed of on the evening of the 31st instant. Mails will be despatched as usual on Wednesday, Ist prox., closing the night before at 8 o'clock. The Chief Post Office, Timaru, will be open for delivery of correspondence from 7 to 8 p.m. on the 31st instant. Sunday hours will be observed m the Private Box lobbies on the Ist prox. ; usual hours on the 26th instant. The Telegraph Office, Timaru, will be open as follows: — Boxing Day, New Year's Day, 9 to 10 a.m., and 7 to 8 p.m. The Telephone Exchange will be open ' from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Boxing and j New Year days. ft.
