RICCARTON TRAINING

(Rye Telegraph.)

OHRISTCHURCH, August 6

At Riccarton this morning, Couranto and Mutiny went together over the hurdles, both fencing really well. They are m fine nick and should give a good account of themselves. Norton was kept at easy fencing, but Liberator was sent a fast gallop on the grass, going well. Mystical seemed too good for Triton at the end of a round. Vogengang had Solano m trouble at the end of the same distance. Donald McKinnon was jumped over the hurdleis. He is going well. Eoseiua and Booties were associated m a gallop on the grass, the former being m front. Glengarry was the only hunter jumped, and he went well with his owner m the saddle. The others did half-pace work. The hurdle horse Kehurangi fell dead on the Riccarton track while accomplishing a gallop with Variety and Rags.
