Autumn Handicap; 7 furlongs. Riel 1 Kit 2 Sixteen started. The race was run m the dark, and on entering the straight the three leading horses fell, two being killed and the third injured. The riders escaped with a severe shaking. The night was so far advanced that persons from the grand stand did not notice the accident. They only saw the finish of the race. At the Plumpton Park Trotting Club's winter meeting there was a good attendance, and the sum of £2045 passed through the totalisator.
