Since the Gpvern- ' ment took over, the railways they have had hundreds of applications for employment. - ' In our report yesterday of the general meeting of the Workers' Union, held at Waimate on Saturday, the names of . some of the officers were wrongly supplied to "us. The correct nominations are : President — Mr T. Brown ; vicepresidents — Messrs A. Walker, G. Pearce, and A. Shirley ; trustees — Messrs W. H. Lundon, J. Sullivan, and J. O'Connor; auditors — Messrs A. M. Taaffe and E. Burrell ; treasurer — Mr H. E. Mann ; general secretary —Mr J. O'Brien.
