A woman— Mrs J. F. Christmas, wife of an Auburn tradesman— has been appointed Circuit Steward of the Wesleyan Circuit of Hoinebush, New South Wales'. This is said to be. the first, appointment of the kind m any Of the colonies. It carries with it an ex officio right to sit m the District Synod.
