THE WAIRARAPA FUND.

(By Telegraph.) AUCKLAND, January 9. At a special meeting of the Wairarapa Relief Fund Committee, the report showed that the total, including special contributions for Mrs McDonald's children, amounts to £1350. In reply to a telegram sent to the Mayor of Dunedin, Mr Fish stated that provision had been made for all known cases, including Mrs McDonald's family. He suggested that after making reasonable provision for all needful cases, the balance should be held by each committee pro rata to local contributions for future disasters of a similar character. The committee adjourned consideration of the matter.
