REDUCTIONS.
Bobart, October 5. The House of Assembly has reduced the salaries of the President of the Council and Speaker of the House from £400 to £250. A proposal to reduce tho payment of members from £50 to 53 was rejected by 14 to 12. A proposal to re* duce the salary of the Agent-General was also negatived.
