As they ware tnoatly m small lots they were fairJy well disposed of. 2-tooth and 4-tooth UalEbreda and crossbreds sold at 11s 3d to 143 (Jd, according to quality, 4-tooth to foil mouth ewes sold at 14s 6d, aged merino ewes and lambs sold at Ss 3d tho pair, merino ewes m wool brought 103 !td with 80 percent, of lambs thrown iv. About (iOO fat lambs wore eo'd at !)a 9d to 14s. Very few fat shsep were bought for export, and the trade being well supplied the aalo dragged aloug rather unsatisfactorily. For best topped sheep, wethers, and maiden owes a fair demand existed at from 11s Gd to IBs 5d according to weight, but the demand for second class meat, dry ewes, and merino wethers, was mnch less active than recently. Shorn merino wethers brought from 8a 6d to 10s 4d according to weight. CATTLE. The salo of fat cattln was very limited. Small bandy boasts sold at £0 3s for heifers to X 7 for steers. There was a very small entry of store cattle. Calves brought 20s to 'Mi, two-year-old steers £i 15s, three-year-old heifers £0 5s to £5 17s Gd, and a few cows £3 7a Od to £i 12-j (Jd. There was an absonco of dairy cowa. i'JUs. About 100 stores, porkers, and b few baconera, sold freely at enrrent rates.
