A CORRECTION.
TO THE EDITOR OF TBS TIMABU HERALD Sib,—l notice m Monday's iaaue of the He bald m a report of a meeting of creditors of F. Drake, be Btates that I shipped on hia account 1400 sacks of potatoes, the net proceeds being £45. This is correct as far as it goes, but there is'no mention of 2000 Backs shipped by me which if added will leave the net proceeds at £93, which raads very differently. Mr Drake also states that I did not make Bn advance. This I beg to contradict, as it can bp seeo. by- my statement of accounts m the hands of the Assignee that I advanced £13. I mention these facts that shippers may not be misled, os I consider the average re• turns received by me are quite equal to other shippers. Thanking you m advance for the insertion of tbe above letter, I am etc., CHABIE3 BOWKBB.
