Bsst bullocks brought £8 103 to .£lO 10a, medintn to good £H 103 to £& 59, lightweights £b 7s Gd to £0 32s 6d, beat cows £6 15s to £1 17s 6d, medium to good £o 5s to £6 10a, light and aged A3 5s to £5. llli fat sheep woro penned, mostly crossbred. The domand was moderate with no ohango m prices. Beßt crossbred wethers brought lCs 6d to 18a Bd, ordinary 13s Gd to 15a Od, be3t do owes 14s Cd to lGs 9d, ordinary 12s 9d to 14s 3d, merino wethers 8a 3d to 12s 3d. OKAIN. Wheat— For prime samples there are mdi. cations of a slight improvement, prices showing a hardening tendency. T>"ro are orders on hand for shipment coastwise, and the local millers are also running short and operating with moro freedom; extra, good Tuscan, m particular, ia m short 6upply and wanted, is was paid for a prime lot St for seed. Stooks of really good conditioned milling him comparatively low. Therefore it is surmised that the present quotations are likely to be firmly maintained for such ; but there is a large quantity of second-rate and inferior, for nhich it will be difficult to find a market except at a considerable reduction m price. PriaiH milling velvet, red straw, and Tuscan 3s fid to 3s 8d (extra prime would command a little more), good to best 3s 2d to 3s sd, medium (nominal) 2b 8d to 3s, whole fowl whoat 2s 3d to 2s 6d, broken Is Od to 2s 2d, ex store (sacks weighed m; terms). Oats — There is a steady demand, and- all sorts are firmer except, perhaps, beat milling, although for extra prime higher prices are paid. Deliveries have almost ceased. Best bright milling Is lid to 23, best bright short stout feed Is lOd to Is lid, medium to good 13 8d to Is 9d, inferior to medium Is 5d to la 7d, Danish and long Tartars bright and full fit for seed la Od to 2a, ex store (sacks extranet). _■ Barloy — The market is quiet ; quotations for best malting 3s Gd to 3s 9d, medium to good 3a to 3s 3d, feed and milling la" 9d to 2a !M, ox store (sacks extra ; terms).
