The President of the Chamber of Comnerce, m his annual report, states that he year just past has been the most dissouraging sinca the establishment of the Chamber. He mentioned that m the niddle of March over twenty institutions lad suspended, with a capital exceeding E4,000,000, which was locked up, and 811,000,000 of public depoaita was renlered unavailable. The whole trouble nag due to the unhealthy and altogether mprecedented expansion of credit. Adelaide, May G.
