(Spkoiai. to Pbess Association.) (Received 12.15 a.m., Oct. 14th.) London, Oct. 13. More carmen are striking and the excitement is increasing. The officials of tha Dockers' Union threaten to take drastic measures, but the Shipping Federation is confident that the strike will not extend further.
(Bs Tblegbaph.) CHBISTCHDBOH, Ocr 14. The Ohristchurch branch of the Federated Bootmakers' Union met to-day, and declined to accept the new statement of prices m its present form as issued by the masters last Saturday. '1 ho branch was agreeable to meet tha manufacturers m conference on the matter.
