(By Telegbaph.) DUNEDIN, Oct. 12. A tpocial -meeting oE the Bootmakers Union was held to-night to consider tho new statement put forward by the Rmployers' Association. Thoso preoent disapproved of tho conditions of labour, ond it was resolved to ask the master bootmakers to meet m conference with tho mon, to arrange matters satisfactory to both parties, wbile also enabling the mastors to compote with the Auckland masters.
