Tho schooner Alort completed loading 1 yesterday for Wanganui with produco from the Atlas and Belford mills. Mr Turner's steamer Industry is expected hero next Wednosday with Nowcastlo coal to discharge, and to load produce for Australia. Tho s.s. Ohau replaces tho Omapero. Sho will loavo Timarn ou Monday for Oamaru, Napier, and East Coast ports. The p.s. Mana (Tugmaster Waldon) slipped from her moorings yesterday morninc;, shortly after 6 o'clock, and steamed out to the barquo Ruthin, which was at anchor m tho outer roads. Tbe Mana took Captain Vissar off, and some ship's stores. There were also a good many persons on board, including a number of ladie3. On arriving alongside tho barque the wind being very variable, he decided to await a favourable slant of wind. This occurring shortly after 2 p.m. the anchor was weighed and sail mado, but the wind being light sho made littlo progress, and at dusk was still visible from the shore. We join with other friends m wishing Captain Vi3sar a good run Homo, although his vessel is rather deeply laden for speedy sailing. The Ruthin is the third German owned vessel, hailing from ElsSeth, which has loaded at Timarn this year, and it will bo interesting to note which of them will make the best record for days to London. We may add hero that m tho trip to the roadstead and back the engines of the Mana worked splendidly, chief engineer Hendry making several trials at connecting and disconnecting, which was done without a single hitch. Mr J. Wilson, a member of tho Harbour Board, was among the party on the tug,_ and took great interest m the vessel aud engines, seeminsr highly pleased with the excellent work done.
