Mr Robert Griffea, the statistician and financial authority, informs the Coloniaing Committeo.of the House of Commons that the immense emigration scheme propounded for Australia ia purely visionary. Tho Western Australia Enabling Committee consider it useless to discuss the question of granting responsible government to that colony until Parliament has adopted the principle [sic]. Mr John Morley concurred m this opinion, and Sir George Campbell dis3entcd.
