BUCKEYE ALWAYS AHEAD.
The Buckeye secured the gold medal and special mention at the 'Melbourne Exhibition, the judges stating in their report that, " Its construction was a special study for every intelligent mechanic." The Buckeye Lowdown was awarded first prize at Jamestown, South Australia, the judges giving a special certificate, stating, " In our opinion thia maohine is undoubtedly the machine of the future." The Baokeye Lowdown haa just aeflurad the Rrand national prize of Victoria at Traralgon Show, beating all competitors. The Buckeye Lowdown secured first prize at Falmerston North Show on the 6th nit., beating the Braodford. The Buckeye Elevator aecured first prize at Camperdown A. and P. Show, beating Homsby, M'Cormick, Deering, and all comtfotitora. The Buckeye Elevator won the great Romsey Field Trial, beating the Horneby, M'Cormick, Srandford, Maasey. The Buckeye Mower and Reaper won the first prize at Palmeraton North Show. The Buckeye Mower and Reaper won the first prize at the Tokomairiro Show. The Buckeye Lowdown will cut and bind every aore of cultivable land in Otago j uo other machine oan do this. Every reaper and binder claims to cut and bind without assistance on steep aidinga, and although repeatedlychdlenged to doao there ia not one of them that can follow our Lowdown round a stiff paddock without a man or two squatting on their sills. . The Buot eye Lowdown will take part in all the principal competitive field trials of the ooming season. Owners of hilly land, secure one before it is too^late. Tho Buckeye Harvester Company has an agency in every important town in Canterbury , carries a large and well-selected stook of duplicates at each, end finds expert assignee in any case of need free. Every binder started on every buyer's own farm, and every duplicate part required by the farmer supplied at from 20 to 60 per cent lets coat than the prices usually charged by other agents. The following card is attached to our exhibit at the New Zealand and South Bess Exhibition : — "The machinery npon this stand secured the higheat award at the Melbourne Exhibition. Although in competition with speoially finished machines, on which no time or money bod been spared, we exhibited them as now, eur ordinary stock machines,the same in every detail ■» supplied to farmers. We did not resort to nickel or gilt decorations, steel knotters, special binders, or even an [ extra coat of paint. Our manufacturers have won their laurels honestly, preferring to meet their reputation to the special merit of the Buckeye, rather than to the elaborate finishing iif any one machino specially fitted up for trial show or exhibition purposes.
