R <■•?.«), who stiw Bccimipariied by Miss Mnry Kos.«, m openin" the bazaar congratulated the ladies on tho excellent display they had nude, and of the pleasure it pave him to open the bazaar. lie understood that it wns to wipo off the debt on the church, and m looking over the ninny articles and «cine the prices marked upon them he w-u struck by tJ:e reasonableness of thorn. He trusted thnt they would meet with tho reward they richly deserved, and that n poodly amount would bo realised, lie referred at length to other features of the bjziar, and said though tha congregation was ;rau!l m numbers they h;id by their actions shown that they wero earnest wurkerj m tin? gond cause
At tho opening ceremony Miss Rois presided at tho piino with kindly courtesy, and the Key. Mr W;.ol!n»s .■hortly introduced Mr Ross. Tho rev -•-Mitleman complimented the Mayor on the ready way he had accepted their intitation, ar.d spoke of the crea! pood Mr Rors was il'iing for tic town, and the interest he took m the borough generally.
A volt 1 of thanks to tho mavir, moved by Mr Woollass a;:d seconded by Mr Gillios ir.* cirried unanimously.
