THE Board, m pursuance of powers m that behalf conferred by " The Education Act, 1877" (section 66) hereby directs that a PUBLIC MEETING of the HOUSEHOLDERS m the School Districts of Arundel, Claremont, Otaio, Rangitata Island, Rangatira Valley, St. Andrews, be held on MONDAY, 2 let day of MAY, one thousand eight hundred and eighty eight, at seven o'clock m the evening, for the Election m each district of Seven Householders (Bection 64) to form tho Committee for such Districts for the year ending with the fourth Monday m April, eighteen hundred and eighty nine. The placo of meeting shall be the Schoolhouse m each District which is provided with a Schoolhouße. In the District m which a School ib not yet built, the place of meeting shall be as follows : — Arundel, at tho houso of Mr Bobert Tarbotton. The Board further directs that the First Meeting of each School Committee be held m tho place appointed for the Election, and immediately after the election upon the same evening. The Board requests the Chairman of each Public Meeting to make to the Board immediately after the election, a return ef tho names of the soveral householders elected to form the Committee, and recommends that each Chairman of Committee report his own election as soon as poseiblo.
