DRAMATIC CLUB. Last ovoning tho members of the Christchurch Working Men's Dramatio Club gave a very acceptable performance in tho Theatre Royal. Thoro was not a Tory large attendance upstairs, but downstairs there wag a good audience. The porformera are of course amateurs and look a good deal of finish, but thoy aro Sy no moans lacking in ability or in training, and on one thing thoy must bo complimented, viz., that they are lettor-porfect in their parts. Tho piece was " Forgive and Forget," a domestic drama of considerable merit, the story being woll put togothor and tho dialogue being bright and good. Tbo characters vroro on tho whole woll represented, somo of them oxoeodingly well. Miss C. Fiachor, as Edith Rickotta, showod herself a very capable actress, full of " go " and businoss. Sho was a little wanting in tho pathotic parts ; but, in the other businesj, sho was vivacious, and exhibited a good conception of hor part Given a littlo flniah, the young lady would prove horaelf a charming actroas. Ella Roland was personated by Miss Ruby Wilton, and sho oxhibitcd a good deal of power as well a* dignity. Mr Jormoll wus fuirly played by Mr A. Hunt, and of Wilfofd Jormol, as rondorod by Mr F, Worton, tho samo may bo said. Mr Jerman, as Parmosan, showed that ho had well studied his part. Mr Inglcaon, as Job Ricketts, played oxtromely woll and mado somo very tolling hits. Mr J. Sinclair, as Fcstril, tho locksmith, and tho incarnation of "honosty," was facile princept. His rendition was as near porfoction as could be, and his cockneyisma wore moat droll. Messrs J. Kiddcll, F. Walton, and W. Parkcs, played tho respective parts of Robins,Btringor, and Billotor, with propriety. Tho scones wore well set, and tho situations wore mado tbo moat of. This oveniug a sparkling bill is promised,
ho foature of it being tho famous comedietta '' The Hough Diamond," and the after-piece " Nan the good for nothing," in which, we feel sure, tho company will make a real hit.
