Parliament waß opened yesterday by the Governor, whose speech referred to the beneficial effects of the Imperial Conference. The introduction of several measures was promised, including a Redistribution of Seats Bill, Local Government Bill, and Copyright Bill. A Bill will also be introduced for the establishment of a Queensland Uniyer* sity. Mr Moorbead has been appointed leader oi' the Opposition. The debate on the motion for the Addresß in Reply stands adjourned. (Keceived 1.25 p.m., Jnly 20th.) THE CENTENNIAL EXHIBITION. Melbourne, July 20.
