Adelaide, June 21. Tho Adelaide Exhibition was opened to-day by Sir William Robinson. Tho proceedings were of a most imposing character. Troops lined the route from Government House to the Exhibition building. Mr E. T. Smith, Mayor of Adelaide, and President of tho Exbibi-

tion, delivered an address, to which the Governor replied at some length. His Excellency despatched a cablegram to the Queen announcing the opening of the Exhibition, ■which was held not only to celebrate Her Majesty's Jubilee, but jubilee of the colony also. RAIN/ Melbourne, June 27. Rain commenced to fall at seven o'clock this evening, and considerably interfered with the success of the illuminations m the city to-ni^ht.
