COURSING.

♦ THE JDBILEE MEETING. At St. Andrews to-day, the Jubilee meeting of the South Canterbury Coursing Club will be held. Coursing will commence on the flat opposite Mr George Lawrie's farm, and the first dogs are to bo m the slips at 10 a.m. The first prize is a very handsome silver cup presented by MrH. Sugden Armitage, and added money. Tho cup is of silver, beautifully chased and finished and boars on the bowl the words " Tho Jubileo Cup," surmounted by a pair of dogs m close pursuit of a hare. The name of tho winner will be inscribed below, also date, etc On the lid of tho cup is a figure symbolic of stueplechasing, the cup being chosen for this fact of thus showing " kindred sport." Tho runner-up will also get a silver cup of good value and excellent quality, and tho third dog will got a com-

bined Bilver match-box and whistle. The draw took place yesterday at St. Andrews with the following result : — Mr A. Thomson's f d Larrakin, meets Mr S. Cague's b w d Rsgnant.
