BUTCHERS' DINNER.

Tho butchers closed the Jubilee celebration last night with a dinner at the Ship Hotel, at which Mr Tutton presided. There was a very large muster, and the chairman was supported on his right by Mr Morgan, on the left by Mr Peacock. After the usual loyal and patriotic toasts had been duly responded to, and several songs given, the following were duly honoured, and m most cases responded to : — " The Mayor and Council," "The Butchers," "The Chairman," "The Chairman's supporters," "The Master Butchers," " Messrs Gilchrist and Tomlinson," "Mr Moody," "MrGeanoy," "Tho Salvation Butcher," "The Farmers," "The Working Committee," "The Press," "The Host." "God Save the Queen " brought, an enjoyable gathering to a close.
