MINING AT COROMANDEL.

(By Telegraph.) Wellington, Dec. 13. The Conquering Hero of Coromandel is the third company which has been floated m consequence of the promise of a Government subsidy to the Kapanga Company. This subsidy, £1000 m amount, was voted oa condition that a company was formed m England with a capital of £20,000. The subsidy was to be paid at the rate of five per cent, on the expenditure incurred m further sinking of the shaft m order that the low j level might be properly tested.
