The man wob last seen alive on lat November lost, when lie visited the prospectors' claim on Meriviile diggings, and on leaving took the , direelion of Jiongwood. He would appear to , have got into the bush nnd lost himself. , Travelling m a seiiri-cirelo over heavy country he had uiinoßt reached the open when he auci eumbctl. A pipe and mntclibox wero lying [ ljeßido the romains as if they had been . dropped from the hand. O'Donnell was known as " Moa Bird."
