Oct. C. The Addington yards to-day were not larjcely snpplied with fat stook, and of store j stock thorn was not more than an average entry. Buyers mustered pretty strongly. Of fat sheep there was bnt a moderate entry, and with few exceptions the quality was indifferent. The Bale opened at prices abont on a level with last week's quotations, but after the first half hour there was a marked improvement m the competition, whioh increased as the auction progressed, until at tho olose there was a rise of from Is to 2s per head for anything like decent lines of crossbred mutton above opening rates. Prime crossbred wethers sold at from 15s Cd to 18s, and m a few instances at a little more. Crossbred ewe's Bold up to 17s &1, and shorn orossbreds brought from lls to 12s 9d. Averago merinos realised from 10s to 12a. Primo crossbred wether mutton sold on an average at 3d per lb ; second class lines and morino a shade lower. There wa3 an increased snpply of fat lambs, and m consequence values were lower, ranging from 5s to Mte. The supply of fat cattle was somewhat limited, and a large proportion opnsisted of Wanganui beef. Prices were rather higher than at last week's sale, and the entry was oleared without any difficulty. Good steers sold at from .£9 to .£ll 10s, and cows up to £S 17s 6d. Beef may be quoted at from 22s to 24a per lOOlbs. There was only a small entry of pigs. Porkers sold at 15a to 22a; Small stores from 6s to Ba.
