• ■" ♦ (By Telegkaph.) KrMABA, Sept. 24. Mitchell Quartle, a miner at Larrikins, accidentally fell thirty fcot on a heap of stones m a claim, and was killed by the fall. At tho inquest at Mitchell's, Lake Brunner, on the body of Mary Taylor, aged twenty, ■who was drowned while fording the Arangapua creek, a tributary of the lake, a verdict was returned of " Accidentally drowned." Deceased was the adopted daughter of Mr Mitchell. Her father is supposed to be m Wanganui.
