(Rooeiyed 10.30 p.m., Sept. 30th.) The following is tho latest belting on the Metropolitan Stakes : — 3 to 2' against Jewel, 5 to 1 Bohemian, 6 to 1 Zeno. [Received 1.30 a.m., Sept. 215t.1 Thero was a very largo attendance at Tatter.alls' tonight, and the public wero grievously disappointed at the scratching of Ringmaster for tho Metropolitan Stakes. Rifleshot is being booked for small sums. Zeno still commands tho attention of the stable, and ho is being heavily backed. Among the public there is very littlo betting, except that Tho Jewel iB vrell supported, and remains a firm favourite. Bohemian is second m demand, and hns advanced to 5 to 1, at which priceseveralsumshave been booked. Thestable is evincing a disposition to back Sorrella. A largo commission has been executed m favour of 8.V., and a good sum has also been invested m favour of Lord Wil'ia'm. Tho latest betting i 3: -The Jewel, 4 to 1 ; Bohemian, 5 to 1 ; Zeno, 6to 1 ; Sorrella, 8 to 1 ; Lord of the Lake and 8.V., 9to 1 ; Rifleshot and Ccriso and Blue, 10 to 1; Lancor, 100 to 1 ; Monte Christo, Rifleman and Brand, 100 to 6; Myles-na-Coppalcon and others, 100 to 4. There is every probability that Tho Jewel will start at 2 to 1 against him, and tint ho will be backed to win thousands. The Jewel - should win, followed by Zeno, Sorrella and Monte Christo; the best outsider, Rifleshot.
