♦ .HUNT CLUB 3TEEPLEOHABES. (By Telegraph.) Chbistghubch, Aug. 11. The Christchurch Hunt Olub Steepleohases "wore held to-day, m fine weather. The attendance was small. Mr W. Waaton's Aroha was firafi Mr Cotton's Malvino (second, Mr B. J. Mason's Free Lance third. The Hunt Club Steeplechase, of 50 sots, two and a-half miles, was -won by Mr Q. The Tally-ho Plate, of 30 soys, two miles, was a victory for the Hon. E. Bodney's Cardinal, and was remarkable for tho big dividends, £78 18s and £47 6s, for tho £2 nnd £1 Bhareß respectively m the totalisator.
