AUCKLAND UNEMPLOYED.

(By Telegraph.) Auckland, July 28. Another large meeting of the unemployed was held this morning, M. W. Farnell presiding. A telegram was received from tho Minister for Publio Works offering free passages to Helensville, where the unemployed could make a living on the gum fields. It was resolved to thank the Minister for the offer, at the same time stating that he was misinformed as to the gum fields giving a living. It was also resolved to urgo the Minister of Lands to set apart special settlements along the line of railways made or contemplated, so that the unomployod might settle and work partly on the railways and partly on the land. At the cloße of the meeting a procession was formed to the office of the relieving officer, who was requested to telegraph to the Government for relief.
