Lning-Mcnson nnd T. Teschemaker. Timekeepor — W, S. Lindsay. Assistant Secretaries—M. J. Godby and F. W. Cook. The second day's sports of the above club took placo yesterday. Tho weather waß all that could bo desired, and the various events were got off m good time. The attendance was fairly large. The City Band came up m tbe afternoon and enlivened the proceedings considerably by playing several selections m good style. The sports were commenced about half-past eleven o'clock. The following are tho results s — TnnowiNO the Cbickbt Ball. E. Smithson (90yds) 1 G. Colo (87yds) 2 C. H. Hamilton also competed. Eobinson won this event last year with 105 yards. 120 Yaudb Hxtbdi/B Back. N. A. Delamtiin „, 1 F. W.Ford 2 R. Smithson 3 J. 11. Stephenson, A. H. Johnstono, W. B. Craig, C. U. Hamilton and W. McDowall also started. Mr Orboll got the men away to a good start. Delamain by a grand spurt took tho last hurdlo about two yards ahead of tho rest, and won by the distance named. F. W. Ford was a good second: Timo— 2o 2-sth sec. F. W. Ford won this race last year m 19} sec. Vaulting. Henry A. LeCren (sft 9in) 1 F. W. Ford (sft 3in) 2 C. H. Hamilton also competed, but only managed to get over sft. LeCren vaulted m good style. He won this event last year with 6ft 6in. Okk Milb Bace. J. F. Grierson 1 D. Wood 2 Herbert A. LeCren ... 3 Henry LeCren also started. Ihe brothers LeCren jumped off with tho lead, Henry getting a little advantage. Grierson took third place ; Wood last. No change was made during tho first round, all the mon running well. At the back of the course m the second round Wood put on a spurt and came np -with' the others. At the half-milo Henry LeCren retired, and coming round tho turn Herbert LeCren gave up, and Wood with a fine spurt almost came on level terms with Grierson, but the latter likewise spurted, and breasted tho tape three yards to tbe good. Time — Smin lisoc. This event was won last year by Herbert LeCren m Smin 3sec. 410 Yabds Hubdlb Handicap. R. Smithson (25yds) 1 G. Colo (20yds) 2 N. A. Delamain (15yds) ... 3 F. J. LoCren (20yds), J. H. Stephenson (25yds), 0. H. Hamilton (syds), and W. B. Craig (10yds) also started. Cole forced tho running at the back of the course, but Smithson, who bad taken the lead from the start, came m the winner, hard pressed by Colo. Time— lmin 11 2-st!js sec. W. McDowall won the hurdles but year m lmin 7 2-sths sec, with a handicap of 17 yards. One Miiiß Walking Handicap. E. A. Pigeon (scratch) 1 A. H. Johnston (150 yds;, F. W. Ford (80 yds) also walked. Only the three mentioned started. Pigeon wont off at a good rattling pace. Johnstone, after covering a quarter of a mile gave up. At about half a mile Pigeon caught up and passed Ford, who soon afterwards gave up andPigcon had it all his own way, doing tho mile m 7min 40see. This event was won by A. H. W. Smith lost year m 7min 3Oseo. 150 Yauds Handicap. F. J. LeCron (9yds) ] O. H. Hamilton (scratch) 2 A. H. Johnstone (syds), F. W. Ford (Byds), G. Jones (3yds), J. F. Griorson (4yds), H. M. Hcevcs (4yds) F. W. Jones (7yds) also started. After a fulso start, Mr Orbell got the mon well away. leCren nt once jumped to the front, and by hard running maintained the lead to the finish. The rcßt finished m a clnstcr. Timo — 15 4-sth sec. C. H. Hamilton won this race from scratch last meeting m 16sec. Two Miles Bunnino Handicap. Herbert A. LoCren (50yds) 1 E. Maekay (40yds) 2 D. Wood (scratch) 3 F. W.Ford (150yds), E. A. Foßter (150 yds), H. B. Low (150 yds), J. F. Griorson (scratch), E, A. Pigeon (80yds), C. H.. Hamilton (100 yds), George Cole (100 yds), Henry A. LeCien (>=Oyds, F. W. Jones (120ydi>) also ran. : F. W. Jones started off with a strong lead, and on passing tho post tho first round was still leading, with Maekay second. Jsncs rolired ut the finish of tho second round, and left Maekay with tho lead. Herbert LeCren was closo np, Henry A. LeCcen taking third place. Herbert at the back of the course gradually forged ahead of his brother, and came up to close quarters with Maekay, and ptesied him very hard for first place. Iho same order was maintained during the next round. On tho seventh lap Maekay endeavoured to shake Herbert off, but m vaiu. On rounding the turn just before reaching tho straight, Herbert put on a splendid spurt, and came down tho straight at a rattling pace, leading Maekay by about 30 yards. Wood camo m third and Grierson fourth. Timo — lOmin 35}eec. E. Maekay won this race m 1885, with 40 yards start, m lOmin 69scc. Scubby Back, 120 Yabds. Or. Wood 1 H. B. Blaolc 2 S. F. Smithson 3 C. Delamain, S. G. Baymond and G. Hart also competed.

A good start was effected, and Wood by hard running mnnaged to breast the tapo half a yard ahead of the others. Time — 13min 4-sth see. This ovent was won by Jolmstono last year m l'isee. Fivb Mile Bicycle Handicap. F, A. Cuttcn (scratch) 1 Herbert A. LeCren (440 yds) 2 Honry LeCren (600 yds) 3 Cutten startod off at a good pneo, and on tho sixth round caught up and passed Henry LeCren. Cutten came m a winner by about 25 yardß. t Stbangbbs' Back, 100 yards. P. Fish 1 H. Bristol 2 Perry, Archer, Cotter and Stevens nlso started. After a hard Blrugglo Fish gained first place and maintained it to tho end, winning by nbout hjlf a yard. Time - llmin 2-Gth sec. Putting 16lb Stone. B. S. Rutherford (30ft lOin) 1 E. S.
