AUCTIONEERS' REPORT.
Mr t>. Maclean (for Messrs Jamos A. Gracio and Co.) reports for tho past week as follows.: — HOUSES. To-day having been proclaimed a holiday, they did not hold a sale of horses this week. Privately dnring tho week they sold a team (41 of good draughts and a pair of hacks at equal ; to former quotations. On Saturday next we shall offer a large lot of draughts, broken to ■work, and 12 head unbroken colts and fillies. 6HEEP. At tho Washdyko on Thursday fat sheep ( wore represented by two small pens, and those i being light weights, wore sold at a low figure. The demand, however, for fat sheep was very limited, owing to the local trade being well supplied from private sonrces. In stores thero was a con3iderablo entry, composed chiefly of old ewes and lambs, neither of which find mnch favour m tho eyca of bnyers at present. They sold 70 2-tooth crossbreda at ss, 100 crossbred culls' at ■!•) 4d, 360 old crossbred ewes Is 7(1 to Is lOd, 130 merinos at lid, 450 lambs at 2s, and 200 lambs at la Cd. Privately, we disposed of 2509 crossbred awes, for breeding, at a satisfactory price. 3 CATTLE. At tho Washdyko yards thero was a small ~ entry both of fat and stores. Wo sold dry cows from 25s to .£3, milker 3np to JJG, and -* calves from 5a to lbs.
