THE BAND CONTEST.
April 25. The following Bands took part m the Band contest on Saturday night :—Christchurch Garrison, Invercargul Garrison, Oamaru Garrison, Timaru Garrison, Addington workshops, Koikorai, Stanmore, and Timaru City. Herr Benno Scherek was judge, and the following decision was given : — TnvercargiU Garrison Baud ... 1 Oamaru Garrison Band 2 Stanmore Brass Band 3 The prizes aro £25, £15 and £10.
