The election for the town of Ipswich, rendered necessary by the unseating on petition of the late members, took place yesterday, when the two Conservative candidates, Viscount Dairy tuple' and Lord Elcho, were- elected, defeating Mr Horace Davey, Solicitor-General. : '/ THE IRISH QUESTION, : A. public meeting on the Irish question was, held m Her Majesty's Theatre last night. The building was crowded m all parts, and the greatest enthusiasm prevailed. '" The assemblage .^was^not composed of any one party, all shades of political opinion being represented.
