WHICH is the most efficient, most reliable, and most economical SHEEPDIP ? THOMAS' Carbolised Sheep - Dipping Composition Has invariably, wheu applied m accordance with the proprietors' instructions, proved to be the CHEAPEST and MOST EFFICIENT DIP for either Longwool, Crossbred, or Merino Sheep. THOMAS' DIP was not only placed first at tho Hawkes Bay competition m 1883, being pronounced by the Special Committee to bo superior to the eight other specifics then competing, including Cooper's, Little's, Tomlinson and Hay ward's (Glycerine), Hall's, Jcye's, Logan and Wilson's (vow Hatch's), McDougall's, and Gilford's, but the report on the wool then dipped, made at tho request of the H.B.P. and A. Association, by the well-known Wool-brokers m London, Messrs Helmuth Schwartzo and Co., also placed THOMAS' DIP AT THE HEAD OF ALL OTHERS as regards tho wool, as the following extract from that report will show : — "At the conclusion of the Hawkes Bay trials, samples of the wool from the sheep dipped were forwarded by the Association to London for special examination and report, and the Wool Valuer for Messrs Helmuth, Schwartze and Co., of that city gave as hiß award : — Thomas' — Little or no smell, free staple and sound • good lustre ; soft feel. Coopeb's — Slight smell ; more yolk than m others ; fair lustre ; sonnd staple. Little's — Smells strong ; staple strong ; rather dried up ; brownish cast. Hall's — Slight chemical smell ; staple quite sound ; no coagulation of grease; fair lustre. Tomlihson and Hatwabd's— Sour smell ; dried up appearance ; and dull look ; rather tender." Thomas' Carbolised Sheep Dip — for many years favourably known m Tasmania and Victoria as " Hood's Specific," and now greatly improved m manufacture md value — when brought into fair competition with other curative agencies has never yet been surpassed or equalled. It is a cold water dip, easily dissolved, and the cost of application scarcely exceeds one half-penny per sheep, whilst a fair application rarely fails to add one penny per lb to the wool. Amongst numerous letters the following are extracts ; — From the Manager of the Heaton Park Estate (the property of tho Trustees of tho late Hon. W. B. Rhodes), near Wanganui. " Heaton Park, 21at Sept., 1885. " I have dipped 20,000 sheep with Thomas' Dip, and have found it effectual m killing the ticks and lice, with which Bomo of the sheep were very had. The wool after dipping is m excellent condition, and free from stain, and there are fewer matted fleeces than ever I have known m my flock. Tho bath is easily prepared, by first dissolving the dip m nod water, after which it easily assimilates with cold water. It is one of the cheapest and best dips I have used, m an experience of thirty years. " I am, &c, "Robbbt Wilson." " Inglewood, Flaxton, Oct. 13, 1885. "Messrs Miles and Co., Christchufch. " Dear Birs, — Having just had all my sheep through the yards (dipped on May 4th, 1885), I have to express my satisfaction with Thomas' Dip. The wool is m nice order, and I have not seen a tick or other parasite on any of the sheep dipped, nor have I been able to see a tick on any lamb tailed, whose dam had been dipped.
