The Rev Dr MoLeod, surgeon to the Ross Hospital, Westland, has so offended the Hospital Board, through writing an impertinent letter to the chairman thereof, that the Board has unanimously decided to give the medico three months' notice, and a resolution to that effect was passed. A Wanganui correspondent furnishes the following inventory of aristocratic off-shoofs, sojourners within its borders. "Wanganui is well up m blue blood," as we have a cousin to tho Earl of Marr; a brother to the Queen's Chaplain; a scion of the Eglington family, who is also a cousin to Sir J. Fergusson; a relative, on his mother's side, to the late General Gordon; a. brother to a military baronet, whose titlo may come to Wanganui; and a host of other smaller aristocrat fry, including the aunt of a boy who will bo a baronet, if ho lives; and the brothers-in law of a deceased baronet."
