The following is the Christchurch Corn Exchange report for the week ended Thursday, the Ist mat. : — Tho grain deliveries by rail contimio on a largo scale. Tho favourable weather has allowed tho threshing operations to be carried on withont hindrance, and some of the maoliine3 m tlio north districts will have nnishod thoir engagements m tho course of two or three weeks. In the southern districts, however, threshing is at its height, and samples, especially oats, are offering frcoly. Tho wheat market continues firm, Tuscan being worth 3s 5d to 3s skl, pearl and Hunter's 3s 'id to 3s -lid, shrivelled 2cl less. Brokon chicken has still a .strong demand at 2a 8d to 2s lid. Oats have ha<l more enquiry, bnt prices are unaltered. Milling are worth 2s Id, stont short feed 2s Id, Tartarian seed 2a to 2s Id, Danish Is lOd to la lid. Barley has a languid market, only extra primo malting commanding attontion of buyers, second qnality beiug totally neglected. Feeding line 3 aro beiug quitted at la lOd to aid. Beans. — Numerous sales havo taken placo at 2s 8d to 2a lOcl. Blue peas are quiet at former quotations, and feed kinds aro offering at 3s to 3s 3d. Kyegrasa. — The demand for thia seed has elackenod considerably, and prices for fartnors' parceb havo receded, while maehino drossed is still quoted afc 5s to 5s Gd. Farmers' lines vary from 3s 3d to 4s 3d. -" Cocksfoot has no buyers, and values are nominal at 3Jd to 4d.
