The first of the series of colonial wool auctions closed to-day, 240,000 bales being sold nnd 40,000 were held over for next auctions. The prices show an all ronnd decline. Greasy wools generally are about a halt-penny to a penny below last sales, inferior sorts being about a penny lower. Fleece wools show a decline of a halfpenny to a penny, while scoured wools have dropped quite a penny.
