She was espeotec to sail with the first favorable change of the wind. The Brnnner Coal Company's s.s. Polham brought from the South yesterday morning 0 small cargo of merchandise. She was berthed at the outer wharf, and m tho evening sailed for Northern and West Coast ports with aboul 250 tons of produce. The sohoonor Welcome got clear of hei ooals at the wharf yesterday, and got things ready for receiving cargo to-day. She loads produce for Auckland. The brigantine Cleopatra, was lying off at the buoys yesterday waiting for the balance of har oargo. She is loading produce for tho Thames. The Union Company's s.s. Omapere returned to port about noon yesterday after an ineffectual searoh for the disabled steamer Penguin. Sho was cruising about np and down the coast all "Wednesday afternoon and night, and thoroughly searched the Ninety Mile Beach, aa it was thought on board that the Penguin might have got blown on to the beach, there being very heavy southerly weather outside. However, on sighting the fl.s. Te Anau, bound for the North, outside yesterday morning, Captain Smith was informed of the safe arrival of the Penguin at Port Chalmers. He then returned to port as above, and after taking m about 20 tons oi produce sailed m the evening for Northern and West Coast ports. (By Telegraph.)
