In the Anglican Synod, tho Committee on Cathedral appointments recommended that a Dean bo appointed with the concurrence of the Diocesan Synod or Standing Committee, and until a Dean was appointed the Bishop to be Dean ; tho Diocesan Synod to exact status for the regulation of tho Cathedral body. There was a long debate on religious education. The Speaker urged tho modification of the Education Act. Bishop Selwyn advocated concerted action with the heads of the other religious bodies, which was agreed to.
