The following items of Mauritius commercial intelligence are gathered from Messr3 Ireland, Fraser and Co.'s monthly circular, under date Bth Jan., to hand per Salazie : — Harvest operations were m progress, but were hindered by the unfavorable weather which prevailed. The month's engagements for New Zealand were — Dunedin 300 tons ; and clearances, 500 tons for Chriatchurcn, and 1100 tons for Dunedin. Freight — Australia, 14s to. IG3 ; to New Zealand 25a. Exchange CO days ; bank credits on Australia £19 103 ; on New Zealand £16. The stock of sugar held m Mauritius is 36,000 tons, and the aoason's export to New Zealand 4000 tons.
