Nelson ... 16 10 1.36 Sydenham ... 31 7 0.71 Lyttelton ... 16 1 081 Timaru ... 10 2 0.45 Oamaru ..19 3 0.45 Hokitika ... 14 2 0.R7 Caversham ... 14 2 0.46 Invercargill ... 12 3 0.56 Totals . . 467 128 The deaths of persons not residents of boroughs, occurring at hospitals, have been excluded m all cases. The total births m the above boroughs amounted to 467, against 583 m October, a decrease of 116. The deaths m November were 128, an increase of 65 on the number for October Of the abo f c death b, males contributed 74, and females 64. Thirty-nine deatliß were of children under 5 years of ago, being 30.47 per cent of the whole number ; £8 of these were of children under one year of age.
