The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agenoy Company, Limited, held their second wool sale of the season this.afternoon. The attendance of buyers was large, and among- those present were noticed several new arrivals from Europe and America. A fairly representative catalogue of 1,760 bales was submitted which elicited ' spirited biddings throughout. Crossbred merino and lambs' wool was m especially' good demand. The price obtained for the. various ' lots offered was considered very satisfactory, taking into account the low prices ruling m London. Greasy merino Bold up to lOd per lb., which price was obtained for a small lot from Tasmania. Forty bales from TJrania realised Ojd per lb, ; lambs' same price. There was no scoured or washed of importauce offered. Sydnky, Oct. 22. The 8.8. Hauroto sailed for Wellington thii eVeuirtg.
