[Recoived 1 a.m., Sept. 28th. ! ADELAIDE, Sept. 27. Arrived, yesterday afternoon — Orienl Company's s.s. John Elder, from London. Sydxey, Sept. 27. Further cases of smallpox have been reported to tho sanitary authorities. In ono instance tho disease attacked a seaman on board the s.s. Gunga, which vessel lately returned here from Melbourne. The source of the disease is unaccounted for. The other case made ita appearance m Druitt street. Tho patient and occupants of tho house have been removed to tho North Head quarantine station. The Union Company's s.s. Tekapc arrived here on Friday evening from Wellington.
