Denoon. Clerk of the Scales — Mr W. Lawson. Clerk of the Course — Mr G. C. Miles. Judge— Mr T. Teschemaker. Starter —Mr J. Meikle. Handicapper —Mr D. McKenzie. This meeting was brought to a cloae yesterday, fine weather again favoring the Club, but the attendance was, as on the first day, only moderate. The sport was again good, and all seemed to take a great interest m it. The following are particulars of the events : — Hitbdlb Handicap, of 40 soys ; winner of the Handicap Hurdle Race, first day, to carry 101 b penalty ; li miles. Mr T. Sheenan's Master Agnes, list 31b (Owner) 1 Mr H. Piper's Ravenswood, 12st 21b (Lyford) 2 Mr R. Henry's Faust, 9st 61b (J. Cotton) 8 Messrs M. and O. Hobbs' Moody (10st91b), Mr J. Forward's Royalty (9st 81b) and Mr J. Clancy's All-Fours (Bst 71b) also ran; Messrs Hobbs' Borderman and Mr J. Higgins' Secretary were scratched. Totalisator— On Ra'venswood £34, Master Agnes JZX23, Moody £35, Boyolty £18, T"au»fc £11, All-Fours £1 5 total, £272. After one false start, m which Ravenswood's colors were very prominent, the lot were got away to a fair start. Moody instantly cut out the pace till the first hurdle was taken, when he had to give place to Master Agnes, who m turn had to run second

to Royalty. This order was maintained till the back running was taken up the second time, when Ravenswood, who had been lying well m the ruck, came up, passed Moody and wrested second place from Master Agnes. He hud no sooner done this, however, than Shoenan called on Master Agnes to show his mettle. This he did most gamely, and after a pretty race ho assumed the lead m coming round the bend into the straight. When once fairly m the home run the whips were out, but it was quite unavailing, as Sheenan landed Master Agnes an easy winner by four lengths. Faust was a good third, lying well on to Ravenswood's girths. Tirao— 3min 13Jsec. Dividend— £2. All the jumps were neatly taken without exception. Selling Htjbdle Race, of 30 soys. Weight for ago. Distance 1J miles. Mr R. Henry's Faust, lOst 111 b (Nicholls) 1 Mr R. Agnow's Unit, list lib (Mr Gordon Wood) 2 Mr W. Milne's Bordeaux, Mr J. Forward's Royalty, and Mr F. Warner's Black Prince were scratched. Totalisator— On Faust £56, Unit £46. Only the pair faced the starter at the back of the course for this race, Unit getting the best of a good start. Unit gradually increased his lead till nearing the hurdle at the north end of the straight when Faust closed up on him, both horses taking the jump together. They then raced neck-and-ncck till taking the jump at the half-mile post, when Faust took the lead. At the next jump, however, Unit made an effort to again take tho lead, but could only come on even terms with Faust. From thenco it could plainly bo seen that the race was a moral certainty for Faust. Both horses took the last hurdle together, but from the rather laborsome way m which Unit took it, it was evident that the pace had given him a proper gruolling, and although urged on with whip and Bpur, he had to give Faust first place by two lengths. Dividend— £l l2s. Railway Stakes Handicap, of 40 aovs. The winner of tho Autumn Handicap to carry 71b penalty. 1 mile. Mr T. Quill's Grand Duke, 7st 121 b (Laughlin) 1 Mr P. Sheenan's Master Agnes were scratched. Totalisator— On Talebearer £161, Grand Duke £113, Conundrum £35, Vinco £35; total £344. The quartette were got away by MrMeiile to a slightly straggling start after three breaks away, Talebearer showing to the front, followed by Grand Duke and Conundrum, with Vinco bringing up tho rear. Racing round the back stretch the horses closed up, Conundrum taking the lead at tho half-mile post, Vinco half a length off second, with Grand Duke and Talobearor at his girths. This order was maintained until rounding the bend into the home run, when Laughlin brought Grand Duke through the field and lauded him a winner after a pretty race by two lengths, Talebearer second, and Vinco and Conundrum running neck-and-nock last. Time — lmin 49secs. Dividend — £2 14s. Tally-ho Steeplechase, of 75 soys. Tho winner of the Gang-Forward Handicap to carry 101 b penalty. 2£ miles. Hon. R. Rodney's Berrington, list 31b (T. Lyford) 1 Mr J. Kerr's Lynwood, list ... (Cotton) 2: Mr H. Piper's Ravenswood, 12st 31b, also started. Messrs Hobbs' Moody, Mr Geo. Booker's Wang, and Mr J. Dooley's Hector were scratched. Totalisator — On Berrington £63, Lynwood £46, Ravenswood £162 j total £271. The trio were sent off at the South end of the course by Mr Meikle to a good start, Berrington easing off and allowing Ravenswood and Lynwood to take the post and rails and tho brush fence at the back together. Their positions were unaltered till the brush was reached the second time, when Berrington closed up and took the lead, Lynwood following him up very closely. Passing tho half-mile post Ravenswood ran into second place, and then the field closed up, the order on passing the Stand being — Lynwood, Berrington and Ravenswood. At the brush Berrington again assumed the lead, with Lynwood lying well up. Both the leaders cleared the post and rails just post the half-mile post, but Ravenswood came to grief, his hind heels tripping on the top rail, with the result that Sheenan landed on his head, but luckily only received a severe shaking. Turning into the bend, both Berrington and Lynwood put their best foot forward, the pace down the straight being terrific. Lynwood's penalty of 101 b, however, told against him, but it was only after a desperate finish that Berrington was able to score a win by a neck. The excitement at the finish of this race was simply intense, and on Lyford and Cotton weighing m they both received a perfect ovation. Time — 5 mm 31sec. Dividend— £3 l7s. Hack Flat Selling Race, of 15 eovs. For horses that have never won over 15 soys of public money (m ono event on the flat). Weight not less than 9st. Once round the course. Mr McKay's Miss Lyle ... The lot were got away fairly well after four false starts, m which Fraud's colors were more than once conspicuous. Fraud dashed off with the lead, but was soon passed by Chadwick, who m turn was passed by Miss Lyle, which position she held to tho finish, winning a good race by half a length from Chadwick, Fraud being a good third. Consolation Handicap, of 30 soys. Once round the course. Conundrum... ... ... ... ... 1 Talebearer 2 Borderman 3 Forest King was scratched. Totalisator — On Conundrum £34, Talebearer £99, Borderman £28. The trio raced round the course m pretty close order till reaching the bend, when Comindrum rushed through and won from Talebearer by a couple of lengths, Borderman about three lengths away third. This race brought the meoting to a close. Dividend — £4 ss.
