The flagatuff at Timaru ia situated m 171 dag. 17min. 20sjeo. East longitude ; 44deg. 23 mm. South latitude. April 30— 9 a, m : Bar., St.oo ; thcr., 55; sky overcast; sea, moderate swell. 5 p.m.: Bar., oO.OG; ther., 56: wind, S.W., light; weather, overcast, gloomy and raining ; sea, moderate swell. Snn rises, this day, C.55 ; sots 4.50. High water, this day, 3.50 a.m. ; 4.14 p.m. ARRIVED. Nil. SAILED. Nil. There were no arrivals at, or departures from, this port yesterday. The schooner Spray will probably coinmonco discharging at the wharf this morning. Tho schooner Isabella Anderson was discharging her coals at the wharf yesterday. The barque Norman Macleod took m tho first of her Homeward cargo at the wharf yesterday. (Bt Telegraph.) Auckland, April 30. Sailed— Mauapouri, s.s., for Melbourne and the South. Passengers :— For Gisborne— Mr Macaulay ; for Napier-Mrs J. S. McFarlane, Messrs Hall, Hartridgo, Jackson, Martin ; for Wellington— Mr3 Laing, Mr and Mrs Nancarrow, Messrs Caffin, Ludbrook, Newell, Miss Nancarrow, Mrs Hill, Masters Hill (2) ; for Lyttelton— Messrs White, Sims, Harrow, Heath, Painter, J. Thomson, Mrs Hartndge; for Dunedin — Miss Holman, Messrs Keid, Cochrane (2), Napier ; for Melbourne— Messrs Layers, Hall, Argall, Barrington, Mrs Pollen, Dr Armstrong, Mrs Jamioson. ' The Zealandin, arrived from Sydney at 10 to-night. On Monday she encountered a hard gale with confnsed sea, which lasted till making tho land. Nothing is known as to the state of things respecting the Seamen s Union dispnto. The Union expected some of their representatives as passengers on board, and chartered a- steamer to tako their officers to visit tho Zealandia, but wore not allowed to go alongside tho ship, which remains m tho stream, and allows no one on board without a written order from tho agonts. A large body of seamen aro on tho wharf watching if seamen or firemen are being shipped, and the police aro on the alert m case of any disturbance. The Auckland cargo has only beeu booked on condition that tho shippers undertook to put it on board, as the Lumpers' Union refuse to handlo cargo. , Wellington, April 30. Arrived— Mahinapua, s.s., Hincmoa, s.s., Koranui, s.s., from the South ; Hanraki, from Onohunga ; Clio, schooner, from Lyttelton. Sailed— Penguin, s.s., for tho North ; Mahinapua, s.s., for the West Coast; Koranui, s.s., for Nelson and the West Coast ; Wakatipu, s.s. for Dunedin.
